Bhopal, May 24 (IANS) Four people, including three women, died and three others fell ill after consuming country liquor in Madhya Pradesh’s Shahdol district, the police said Saturday. The incident occurred after Ram Ratan of Mahua Tola village brought liquor with him to the village Thursday night and drank it with some villagers.

Soon after drinking it, the villagers started vomiting. While four of them died at the spot, three villagers were taken to a nearby hospital.

The dead were identified as Ram Ratan, Foolmati, Suhagi Pao and Mani Pao.

The police has registered a case.
