Four dead in Maharashtra road accident

Pune, May 8 (IANS) Four people were killed and 13 injured as a truck collided with a tractor on the Nagpur-Aurangabad highway Thursday evening. “The two drivers ran away after the accident. We are investigating the cause of the accident,” police inspector Balakrishna Borker told IANS by phone.

The dead were identified by police as Sangita Sanja Gajahouse (25), Rohit Kachru Hurnane (6), Leelabai Sawant Kangari (45) and Sukhari Sukhdev Run (50). they were part of a group of 14 people returning home after attending a religious ceremony at Kanrang Gaon.

The injured were admitted at the Vaijapur Hospital and Sona Hospital near Aurangabad.
