Four criminals lynched in Jharkhand
January 25th, 2012 - 8:43 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Jan 25 (IANS) Four of the five dacoits who looted a bank in Jharkhand’s Palamau district were beaten to death by angry villagers Wednesday, police said.
According to police, five dacoits looted Rs.35,000 in cash from Vananchal Grameen bank at Dangwara village, around 160 km from Ranchi.
The villagers after getting the information about the dacoity surrounded the bank while the robbers were still inside.
When the robbers came out of the bank, they were beaten up by villagers armed with iron rods. Four of the five robbers died on the spot. One managed to escape.
The looted money was recovered by police.
