Ghaziabad, Aug 8 (IANS) An inter-state gang of four bikers wanted in several cases of chain snatching and theft were arrested here Friday, the police said. Identified as Mohsin, Abrar, Irshad and Mustakim, the four were caught during a chain-snatching bid in Kavi Nagar area here. Two revolvers, two stolen bikes and a lot of jewellery were seized from them, said Superintendent of Police (city) Vijay Bhushan.
The gang of four has against it over 15 cases of chain snatching and theft in Delhi, three cases in adjoining Ghaziabad and nearly 20 in Noida, the official said.
A case under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and section 25 of the Arms Act has been registered against the accused, he added.
Mohsin, Abrar and Irshad are residents of Nand Nagri in Delhi and Mustakim is said to have been the mastermind behind their operations.
