Four burnt alive as trucks collide in Haryana
July 28th, 2011 - 12:22 am ICT by IANSHisar (Haryana), July 27 (IANS) At least four people were burnt alive in an accident involving three trucks, including an oil tanker, Wednesday near this Haryana town, police said.
A police official said that while four people were burnt to death at the spot, two others were critically injured and were brought to a hospital here.
The accident took place near Jaidipur village, 40 km from Hisar on the Hisar-Chandigarh highway, when a truck collided with an empty oil tanker head-on. A truck coming from behind also rammed into them and all three trucks caught fire.
Fire tenders were rushed from nearly town of Barwala.
While one victim was from Jammu and Kashmir, another was from Himachal Pradesh.
Hisar is 270 km from Chandigarh.
