Four arrested on kidnapping charge
September 2nd, 2011 - 8:11 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 2 (IANS) Four people, including a woman, were arrested for kidnapping a man here, police said Friday.
The arrested have been identified as Deepak alias Deepu, 23, Virender alias Kala, 20, Mohit Khatri alias Monu, 23, and Purnima alias Dolly, 21, a police officer said.
Kishan Lal, former cashier of an NGO, was kidnapped Aug 31 and a demand of Rs.20 lakh was made as ransom.
The arrests came Thursday, after police laid a trap in Sector-17A Dwarka here where the ransom was to be delivered.
Police recovered two country-made pistols, nine live cartridges, a gold chain and Rs.3 lakh from the accused.
