Four arrested for murdering two women in Delhi

New Delhi, July 12 (IANS) Four people were arrested for allegedly murdering an elderly woman and her daughter here last week, police said Saturday. The Crime Branch arrested Rajesh Kumar Bansala (32), Lala (30), Kamlesh (30) and Shyamu (45) from Bhalaswa dairy area in northwest Delhi after the bodies of Mahinder Kaur, 74, and Gursharan Kaur, 47, were found dumped near the Taj Expressway in Noida July 6.

According to police, Bansala had rented out the first floor of his house to the mother-daughter duo seven months back.

About a month ago he started asking them to vacate the premises. When the women showed their unwillingness to do so on such a short notice, he got furious and on July 5, along with his associates, assaulted the two and strangled them to death, police said.

Bansala was also involved in a murder case in Loni, Ghaziabad in 2002, police said.
