Former union minister Sukh Ram gets three years jail for graft
February 25th, 2009 - 4:10 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Feb 25 (IANS) A city court Wednesday sentenced former union minister Sukh Ram to three years in jail and ordered him to pay Rs.200,000 as fine for having amassed wealth in excess of his known sources of income.
On Feb 20, Sukh Ram was held guilty of amassing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs.53.6 million between 1991 and 1996.
