March 5th, 2010 - 5:05 pm ICT by IANSPanaji, March 5 (IANS) The Goa police Friday suspended a senior police inspector and four constables for their alleged links with the narcotics mafia in the state.
The suspension of police inspector Ashish Shirodkar follows allegations made by an Israeli drug peddler, who was caught on a spy camera. The video clip surfaced on internet portal You Tube Wednesday.
In the footage, Atala explains in detail how Ashish allegedly took money from him to release an arrested drug peddler and spoke in length about the links of other police officials with the narcotics trade.
