Five landmines recovered in Jharkhand
December 16th, 2011 - 7:53 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Dec 16 (IANS) Five landmines kept in two sacks were recovered from Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district Friday, police said.
According to police, the two sacks were found by villagers on a farm at Badgao village of Ramgarh, around 60 km from Ranchi. They informed police.
A bomb disposal squad was sent to the farm and found five landmines — four landmines of five kg each and one weighing 10 kg — in the sacks. The landmines were defused by the squad.
Police suspect that the Maoists might have kept the landmines.
