The victims were residents of Faridabad district in Haryana and were going to pray at the Mehandipur Balaji temple in Dausa, Rajasthan, police said.
“The accident took place due to thick fog in the area as the driver of the Qualis vehicle could not see the truck in time,” police Inspector Udai Sharma told reporters in Mathura, some 300 km from here.
The injured are being treated at a Mathura hospital, where their condition is stated to be critical, he added.
