Five killed in Kolkata road accident
August 24th, 2010 - 11:00 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Aug 24 (IANS) Five people were killed and three others were injured in a road accident in Kolkata Tuesday night, police said.
“As per preliminary information, five people were killed when a trailer mounted a Tata Sumo. Three people are injured and they have been hospitalised,” Joint Commissioner of Police Javed Shamim said.
The accident happened on the second Hooogly Bridge (Vidyasagar Setu) when the trailer, moving at high speed, rammed into the car from the rear.
