Five killed in Himachal accident
September 10th, 2011 - 6:26 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Sep 10 (IANS) Five people were killed and 13 injured in Himachal Pradesh Saturday when a bus in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a gorge, police said.
The private mini-bus with 30 people on board was on way from Mandi town to Kharot village.
It fell into a 50-metre deep gorge near Thauna village in Sarkaghat tehsil around 1 p.m., Deputy Superintendent of Police Balbir Thakur told IANS by phone.
“The dead included four men,” Thakur added.
The injured were admitted to a hospital, some 175 km from here.
