Five injured in Jharkhand district jail clash
May 24th, 2011 - 11:10 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, May 24 (IANS) Five prisoners were injured in clashes Tuesday between two groups of inmates inside the Deoghar district jail in Jharkhand, police said.
According to police, the injured prisoners have been admitted to a district hospital.
“It seems the jail authorities did not take up the issue seriously and this resulted in serious clashes. It is surprising how the weapons reached inside the jail,” Deoghar’s Superintendent of Police Subodh Prasad told reporters.
