- Lucknow, July 18 (IANS) Five undertrials were injured in a blast in the lock up of the district court in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district Saturday, police said.
Three of them received serious injuries.
“About 15 undertrials were brought to the district court for hearing and were lodged in the lock up of the court. As far as we can make out, someone who came to meet one of them, handed over a bag containing crude bombs to help him escape,” inspector R.B. Sahu of Kotwali police station told IANS on phone.
“We are investigating the incident and hope to nab the culprits soon,” superintendent of police N. Ravindran told IANS.
Unnao is about 90 km from Lucknow.
