Five Haj pilgrims injured in accident
November 25th, 2011 - 11:29 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 25 (IANS) Five Haj pilgrims, including three women, suffered minor injuries after the bus they were travelling in was hit by a speeding truck in central Delhi late Thursday night, police said Friday.
The accident took place at around midnight at Bhairon Road when the bus, ferrying Haj pilgrims from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad city, was hit by a speeding truck which was trying to overtake the bus.
“Five passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. They were discharged after first aid,” said the officer adding by the time police reached the spot, the victims along with their bus had left.
No case was registered, police said.
