Five booked for fraud
June 27th, 2011 - 1:44 pm ICT by IANSSonepat (Haryana), June 27 (IANS) Five Delhi-based men have been booked for duping a man here of Rs.30 lakh on the pretext of providing a government job to his son, the Haryana Police said Monday.
“Ram Diya had paid Rs.30 lakh to the five men as they had promised to provide a railway job to his son. He had paid them the amount in 2009, and since then, the accused had kept delaying this matter. They had neither arranged any job nor returned the money,” a police officer said.
“Based upon his complaint, we have registered a case of cheating and criminal conspiracy. We are trying to ascertain the addresses of the accused and will nab them very soon,” he added.
The five were identified as Kalu Ram, Davender Tomar, Inder, Ishwar and Raj Pal.
