First session of Tamil Nadu assembly May 23
May 19th, 2011 - 10:00 pm ICT by IANSChennai, May 19 (IANS) The first session of the 14th Tamil Nadu assembly will be held May 23 with the newly-elected legislators taking their oath, an official said here Thursday.
Assembly Secretary A.M.P. Jamaludeen said the election of the speaker and the deputy speaker will be held May 27.
Governor Surjit Singh Barnala will address the assembly June 3, he said. The session is being convened at the old Assembly Hall at Fort St. George.
