Fire in Kolkata studio, two injured
July 18th, 2011 - 1:24 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, July 18 (IANS) A massive fire broke out at the Bharat Lakshmi film studios here Monday, injuring two people, said West Bengal Fire Services Minister Javed Khan.
The fire broke out at the warehouse and there was danger of it spreading to adjoining shanties, but the blaze was brought under control as fire tenders reached the spot in time. Fifteen fire engines battled to control the blaze, Khan said.
“The two injured have been sent for treatment. Their injuries are not very serious. The local people also helped the firefighters in dousing the flames,” the minister added.
Several tele serials are shot at the studio, located at Tollygunj.
