Fire in Ghaziabad meat processing unit

Bahujan Samaj Party Ghaziabad, April 3 (IANS) A major fire broke out Friday in a meat processing unit here owned by a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader who is contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk constituency, a fire officer said.
“We received the call at 12 p.m. from the factory at Dasna. About 10 fire tenders were pressed into service. After about three hours, we could control the fire,” fire officer A.P. Singh said.

He said the blaze broke out due to an electrical short circuit.

Mohammad Mustaqueem, the owner of Al-Nafees Frozen Food Export, is a BSP leader and contesting parliamentary elections. The meat processing unit exports to European and Arab countries.
