Fire in Delhi shoe factory, no injuries
October 31st, 2010 - 3:05 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 31 (IANS) A fire broke out at a shoe factory in Delhi’s Mayapuri area in west Delhi Sunday, an official said. No one was injured.
“The fire started at 5 a.m. and was doused around 12 noon. No one was injured,” said an official of the Delhi Fire Service.
As many as 16 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and it took over five hours to put off the fire, the official said, adding that the fire engulfed the whole factory.
“Though we have doused the fire, our firefighters are still on the spot. Investigations are on,” the official told IANS.
The probable cause of fire could be an electric short-circuit, the official said.
