Fire guts heritage hotel in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Feb 13 (IANS) A heritage hotel in Himachal Pradesh’s Dalhousie town in Chamba district was gutted in a fire Friday, officials said.
“An 80-year-old wooden building was destroyed in fire this (Friday) morning,” Dalhousie Sub Divisional Magistrate Shubh Karan Singh told IANS.

The building was being used as Aroma Claire hotel-cum-residence.

He said owner of the building Rohit Khanna, who suffered burn injuries, died in the accident. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
