Fire engulfs factory in Delhi
May 27th, 2012 - 9:32 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 27 (IANS) A major fire broke out in a garment factory here Sunday, but no one was injured, a fire service officer said.
It took firemen over four-and-a half hours to douse the fire, which was reported at around 2 p.m. from Mahila Colony in east Delhi’s Gandhi Nagar.
“Around 25 fire tenders were pressed into service and the situation was brought under control by 6.40 p.m. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,” a fire service officer said.
