Fire destroys polymer factory in Bangalore
September 30th, 2011 - 10:02 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, Sep 30 (IANS) A polymer factory in Peenya industrial estate in east Bangalore was gutted in a huge fire Friday but no one was injured, a fire brigade spokesperson said.
“There was no one inside the factory. We deployed 40 fire tenders to douse the fire,” the spokesperson told reporters.
The fire, cause of which was being ascertained, broke out around 3 p.m., he said.
The industrial estate is about 20 km from city centre.
