Fire breaks out in Mumbai multi-storey residential tower
May 16th, 2010 - 8:46 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, May 16 (IANS) A fire broke out Sunday on the 15th floor of a residential tower in Mumbai’s suburban Ghatkopar area, fire brigade officials here said. There were no casualties.
“The fire broke out around 5 p.m. and engulfed the top floor of Presidential Tower, located on the LBS Marg in Ghatkopar,” said a fire official.
Eight fire engines, four water tankers and an ambulance have been rushed to the spot. “The cause of the fire is not yet ascertained and so far there are no casualties,” said the official, adding that efforts were on to control the blaze.
