Fire breaks out in Himachal’s chemical factory
July 7th, 2011 - 11:03 pm ICT by IANSBaddi (Himachal Pradesh), July 7 (IANS) A massive fire broke out in a chemical factory in this Himachal Pradesh town Thursday. There are no reports of any casualties, police said.
The cause of the fire in C & E Oil Factory is believed to be an electrical short-circuiting, an officer said.
He said the fire engines took more than three hours to bring the blaze under control.
Besides the chemical factory, 30,000 litres of manufactured chemical stocked on the promises of the factory, also went up in flames.
The factory owners are claiming that the loss was estimated at Rs.5 crore, the official said.
