Fire at ITO, seven rescued
April 2nd, 2010 - 2:12 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 2 (IANS) Fire broke out on the fourth floor of a building near I.P. Bhavan at ITO in central Delhi, a fire official said Friday. Seven people have been rescued so far.
A fire department official said: “We received a call at around 11:45 a.m. about a fire in the Drum-Shaped Building at ITO.”
“We have rescued seven people till now,” the official added.
“Seventeen-eighteen fire tenders have been pressed into service,” he said.
The building is known to house many government offices.
