Fire at Army hospital in Delhi
April 18th, 2011 - 7:59 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 18 (IANS) A fire broke out at the Army Hospital (Research and Referral) here Monday afternoon, an official said. No casualty has been reported.
The fire was first noticed at around 1.30 p.m. on the fourth floor of the hospital building located near Dhaula Kuan in south Delhi, a fire department official said.
“Eight fire tenders were sent to the spot and the blaze was put out in an hour,” the official added.
Though the exact cause of the fire is not yet known, fire brigade officials say it could have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
The fire occurred in a laboratory and lobby on the fourth floor damaging some clinical instruments.
