Father-son commit suicide in Amritsar
September 21st, 2011 - 4:54 pm ICT by IANSAmritsar, Sep 21 (IANS) A father-son duo, who had a criminal past, allegedly committed suicide inside a lawyer’s chamber in the district courts complex here in Punjab, police said Wednesday.
The two, who belonged to Jalandhar, had come here to meet their lawyer and had stayed back in his chambers Tuesday evening to sleep.
When the lawyer came to his office Wednesday morning, the duo was found dead.
“It is a case of suicide. Both of them consumed Celphos (an insecticide) and died. We are investigating the matter,” Civil Lines area police station chief Sanjiv Kumar said.
Only a few days back, the duo was caught on a CCTV camera at an ATM in Jalandhar while they hoodwinked a youth and took away his debit card.
