Fake degree racket busted
May 21st, 2011 - 1:33 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 21 (IANS) Two people were arrested in the national capital for running a fake degree racket, police said Friday.
Omkar Singh, 23, and Sanjeev Kumar, 48, were running two private colleges in Delhi and Faridabad in Haryana.
Police recovered 37 fake degrees, marksheets and certificates of higher education courses of various Indian universities from their possession.
“The fake degrees were sold for Rs.40,000 each,” police said, adding that they are tracking the others involved in the racket.
