Fake army recruitment racket busted
June 21st, 2011 - 11:03 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 21 (IANS) Police have arrested four men who cheated people by promising them jobs in the Indian Army.
The four included two former soldiers.
“The racketeers impersonated as army officials in Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Ashok Chand said.
He said the gang had duped around 200 people.
The kingpin, identified as Ram Babu Shukla, 45, was arrested from Pitampura Monday. The other three — Maan Singh, 43, Sanjay Misra, 33, and Shiv Narain, 40 — were caught later.
