Extortionist arrested in Noida
March 1st, 2009 - 10:57 pm ICT by IANSNoida, March 1 (IANS) An extortionist who was demanding Rs.100,000 from a businessman was arrested here Sunday, the police said.
The accused, Om Bharti, a mechanic by profession, was arrested for demanding Rs.100,000 from Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Shatabdi Vihar in sector-52, the police said.
Kumar, who runs a shoe store in Atta Market, lodged a complaint with the police and Bharti was put under surveillance and finally arrested Sunday, the police added.
