Engineer robbed in Noida
October 22nd, 2010 - 10:26 pm ICT by IANSNoida, Oct 22 (IANS) A female software engineer was robbed of her belongings in Sector 60 here, police said Friday.
The incident took place Thursday night near Shopprix Mall.
Police said Dharna Pradhan (26) was robbed of her purse and other belongings when she was returning home from the shopping mall in a rickshaw.
Two motorcycle-borne youths attempted to snatch her chain. When Pradhan caught hold of a robber’s hand, the rickshaw puller lost his balance and she fell down.
As the rickshaw turned turtle, Pradhan became unconscious.
The robbers took away her purse which contained three credit cards, two mobile phones and cash amounting to Rs.1000, City Superintendent of Police H.N. Singh said.
Later, she was rushed to a nearby hospital.
