Elephant kills two in Bangladesh
December 1st, 2011 - 10:11 pm ICT by IANSDhaka, Dec 1 (IANS) A wild elephant attacked the house of a 45-year-old Bangladeshi woman early Thursday and trampled to death both the woman and her 12-year-old grand-daughter.
The incident took place after midnight in Chokoria region of Cox’s Bazar port town, around 300 km from Dhaka, the Daily Star reported.
The deceased were identified as Alkum Ara Begum and her granddaughter Zamira Begum.
Police recovered the bodies around 9 a.m.
