Eight suspected Maoists held in Bihar
December 3rd, 2009 - 3:45 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Patna, Dec 3 (IANS) Eight suspected Maoist guerrillas were arrested in Bihar’s Aurangabad district, police said Thursday.
The arrests took place during a joint operation involving police and the Special Task Force.
“The Maoists were arrested while they were holding a ‘jan adalat’ (people’s court),” a police official said.
Aurangabad and its neighbouring districts of Gaya, Jehanabad and Arwal are regarded as a stronghold of Maoist guerrillas.
