Eight killed in Colombia by armed group
June 27th, 2011 - 8:20 am ICT by IANSBogota, June 27 (IANS) At least eight people died and four others were injured in a shooting spree by a group of men in south of Colombia, Xinhua reported Monday.
According the police, the incident occurred in Narino department, south of Colombia, bordering Ecuador.
Narino department’s police commander Colonel William Montezuma said the event occurred Saturday night, when “eight people were murdered by a group of 10 or 12 men who arrived in the town.
The victims were in a mall centre in the north of Narino. Just when they were leaving the mall, they were fatally shot down by the group.
The police and military have launched search operations for the culprits.
