Bhopal, July 20 (IANS) At least eight people, including a woman and a child, were killed and more than 50 injured when an Indore-bound bus overturned in Jhabua district, 350 kms from here, Sunday morning, the police said. The bus was on way to Indore when the driver lost control and the vehicle turned turtle by the roadside.
The injured have been admitted to Jhabua district hospital where the condition of at least 12 is reported to be critical.
The others were discharged after providing first aid.
Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Health Nirmala Bhuria who visited the hospital in the afternoon has announced a compensation of Rs.50,000 to the next of kin of each of the deceased and Rs.5,000 for each of those injured.
