Eight Indian exhibitors to participate in BroadcastAsia2011

KPMG Mumbai, May 3 (IANS) Highlighting the latest in 3D, special effects technologies and Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV (HbbTV), BroadcastAsia2011, the acclaimed trade event for the broadcasting, digital media and entertainment industries, will be held in Singapore June 21-24, an official announced here Tuesday.

Eight Indian exhibitors will also participate in the 16th edition of the expo, the official added.

“We are pleased to see the participation of exhibitors from India at BroadcastAsia2011, including Canara Lighting and Sconce, Essel Shyam Communication, Indiasign, Modern Communication & Broadcast Systems, Monarch Innovative Technologies, RSG Broadcast, Rudraksha Technology and WASP3D,” said Calvin Koh, Senior Project Manager for BroadcastAsia with Singapore Exhibition Services, that is organising the event.

“These companies clearly see the potential and opportunities in Southeast Asia and have chosen BroadcastAsia2011 to showcase their products, technologies and solutions, as well as to network with industry professionals from all over the world,” he added.

BroadcastAsia2011 serves as the premier launch pad for companies to introduce cutting-edge technologies and solutions designed to enhance global connectivity for consumers and businesses, and shape the future of digital content delivery across the world.

With 3DTV and HDTV panning out in the market, the BroadcastAsia2011 International Conference will offer more sessions to address the latest needs and technologies of the broadcasting industry.

More than 85 renowned speakers will cover topics related to IPTV, Digital TV and HbbTV, among others.

BroadcastAsia2011 will be held in conjunction with CommunicAsia2011 and EnterpriseIT2011 at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

According to the FICCI-KPMG Indian Media and Entertainment Industry Report 2011, the Indian film industry was estimated to be Rs.83.3 billion in 2010.

India’s television industry, the world’s third largest TV market with almost 138 million TV households after China and the US, registered an overall growth from Rs.257 billion in 2009 to Rs.297 billion in 2010 at a growth rate of 15 per cent compared to seven percent in 2009.
