October 23rd, 2011 - 6:04 am ICT by IANSBeijing, Oct 23 (IANS) At least eight people were killed and seven injured in a pile-up of over 30 vehicles in China’s Tianjin municipality, police said.
The accident happened Saturday morning at the Rongcheng-Wuhai Expressway, Xinhua reported.
Witnesses said heavy fog that has engulfed the city and neighbouring Beijing and Hebei province since Wednesday was to blame for the accident. The fog led to the closure of at least five inter-provincial expressways in Beijing Saturday.
