Eid holidays in UAE from Sep 29 to Oct 5
September 22nd, 2008 - 9:46 pm ICT by IANSDubai, Sep 22 (IANS) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has declared Sep 29-Oct 5 as public sector holidays for the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.According to a circular issued by UAE’s Minister for Health and chairman of the Civil Service Commission Humaid Mohammed Al-Qattami, all ministries and other federal government institutions will be closed for work from Monday, Sep 29 to Sunday, Oct 5.
Meanwhile, the Amateur Astronomers Group (AAG) of the Emirates Heritage Club has announced that first day of Eid-ul-Fitr this year would fall Oct 1.
