Eatery owner stabbed to death after tiff over bill
January 12th, 2012 - 1:06 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Jan 11 (IANS) An eatery owner in east Delhi was stabbed to death after a dispute over payment with a group of customers turned violent, police said Wednesday, adding two of the assailants have been arrested.
Shabbir, 22, used to work at a chicken shop during the day, and sell chicken kabab in the night in Kalyanpuri area.
The two people, arrested for killing Shabbir, had come his shop along with two or three persons Tuesday night.
Following a dispute over payment, “they started beating him and during the scuffle, they stabbed him to death. He was taken to Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital where he was declared dead,” said a senior police official.
A case has been registered and two assailants, identified as Sanu and Babu, both in their early 30s have been arrested. “Hunt is on to apprehend the other culprits,” added the official.
