Easy win for Murugesan in ITF Futures tennis

Chennai, Nov 7 (IANS) Second seed Ranjeet Virali Murugesan dropped just one game en route to the second round of the TNTA-ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament here Monday as he defeated fellow Indian Saurabh Patil 6-1, 6-0.

Men’s Singles (Main Draw - 1st round): Karunuday Singh (7) bt Yu Chang (CHN) 6-3, 1-6, 6-3; Ranjeet Virali Murugesan (2) bt Saurabh Patil 6-1, 6-0; N Vijay Sundar Prashanth (5) bt Kaza Vinayak Sharma 6-3, 4-6, 6-2; Saketh Myneni bt Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan 6-3, 7-6 (3); N Sriram Balaji bt Ramkumar Ramanathan 3-6, 7-6 (1), 6-4.
