Nagpur, Dec 15 (IANS) The bodies of nine terrorists killed in the Mumbai attacks should be dumped at the “doors of the Pakistani high commission in New Delhi”, Mumbai Congress president Kripa Shankar Singh said Monday.Making an emotional speech on the opening day of the winter session of the Maharashtra legislature here, the Mumbai legislator said: “The fumes from these dead terrorists are polluting our country and they must be dumped immediately.”

According to him, the best way to dispose them of would be to “dump them at the doors of the Pakistan mission in the capital”.

Of the 10 gunmen involved in the terror attack, Mohammed Ajmal Amir Kasab was nabbed alive, while nine of his fellow terrorists who attacked Mumbai 26/11 were killed in gun battles with the security forces.

India has maintained the terrorists came from Pakistan, but Islamabad wants more evidence.

Since Muslim organisations in Mumbai have unanimously refused to let the bodies of the nine terrorists be buried in India, these are currently lying in the Sir J.J. Hospital mortuary, awaiting the government’s decision on how to dispose them of.

Kripa Shankar Singh, a former minister, urged the state government to construct a memorial near the Gateway of India dedicated to all the police and security personnel who laid their lives fighting terrorists during the Nov 26 terror attacks in Mumbai.

In a related development, Maharashtra Congress spokesman Krishna Hegde said that the state and central governments should consider giving the highest gallantry awards to the slain police and security officials involved in the anti-terror operation that lasted 60 hours.

“The governments should also provide free medical and educational benefits to the dependent family members of all the brave officers as the nation’s tribute to their unparalleled act of sacrifice,” Hegde said in a statement.
