Her body parts were recovered over the past four days.

Police said that Soni’s legs were found near railway tracks in Darbhanga district and her hands were found near tracks in Samastipur district. Her remaining body was found near railway tracks in Begusarai.

Soni’s father Narendra Singh alleged that her daughter was killed in a gruesome manner by her husband and in-laws for dowry. “Since her marriage three years ago, her husband and in-laws were harassing her for dowry,” he alleged.
