New Delhi, June 22 (IANS) A Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) driver was held here for stalking a girl since the last one year, police said Wednesday.

Jogesh Kumar, 28, a resident of Nangloi in West Delhi, was held from his home Wednesday, said Deputy Commissioner of Police Chhaya Sharma.

Jogesh Kumar was held after a girl, resident of Arjun Nagar in south Delhi, approached the police and told them that he had been stalking her continuously for more than one year.

“She further reported that she was so much mentally harassed by him that she had to shift her home as well as her well-settled job,” said Sharma.

During interrogation, Jogesh Kumar told the police that the girl used to travel in his bus for her office in Paschim Vihar in west Delhi in 2008 and he was very possessive about her.

Jogesh Kumar got her number and started calling her continuously during odd hours.

“He even visited her office and tried to malign her image so much that she had to leave her well-settled job. Even after that, he continued stalking the girl and used to stand outside her house,” said the officer.
