Drunk servant sets employer’s shop, car on fire

New Delhi, April 24 (IANS) An elderly servant, in an inebriated condition, set his employer’s shop and car on fire in south Delhi to take revenge for a physical assault on him, the police said. Ramanand noticed flames erupting from his shop and car in Tughlakabad area late Wednesday.

“During the investigation it was found that Bhagat, who used to sleep in the shop, was missing. Later, he was found in his nearby home in an inebriated state. Bhagat said he set fire to the shop and the car because he was angry as his employer had beaten him up,” said a police official.
