Drug peddler held in capital
January 13th, 2011 - 8:24 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Jan 13 (IANS) A drug peddler has been arrested with 235 gram of heroin worth Rs.23 lakh in northwest Delhi, police said Thursday.
The arrested man has been identified as Chander Mohan, 55, a resident of Pitampura. He has a past criminal record and has been arrested three times before.
“We got a tip-off that Mohan will deliver a heroin consignment to someone near Rohini Jail Monday,” Deputy commissioner of Police (Crime and Railways) Ashok Chand said.
Mohan has been booked under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
