Drone strikes kill 21 in Pakistan
April 22nd, 2011 - 2:04 pm ICT by IANSIslamabad, April 22 (IANS) Twentyone people, including five children, were killed when US drones carried out an attack in Pakistan’s North Waziristan region, a media report said Friday.
Three women are also among the dead.
Several people were injured when the US drones struck at a compound, Geo News reported.
US drones fired five missiles on the compound in Spinwam, 40 km northeast of North Waziristan’s main town Miranshah.
The media report said that it was the first missile strike in the region since March 17 when a drone attack killed 39 people.
