New Delhi, Feb 7 (IANS) Parts of the capital experienced light showers Tuesday evening, catching Delhiites off guard. Wednesday morning may see similar conditions, though the rest of the day will be clear, the Met office said.

The weatherman attributed the drizzle, recorded at 0.4 mm, to a western disturbance hovering above north Pakistan.

The day started off bright and sunny, but the skies became cloudy towards the afternoon. There was a slight nip in the air after the showers.

While the maximum temperature was recorded two notches below average at 20.5 degrees Celsius, the minimum settled one notch below average at 7.6 degrees.

Humidity wavered between a high of 81 and a low of 36 percent.

“Light rain might happen Wednesday morning, but the sky will remain clear in the day,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

Wednesday’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover between 20 and 8 degrees Celsius.
