Driver held for stealing Rs.35 lakh of employer
June 9th, 2011 - 10:32 pm ICT by IANSNoida, June 9 (IANS) A private company’s driver who stole his employer’s Rs.35 lakh in cash was arrested in Noida Thursday and Rs.31 lakh out of the stolen money was recovered, police said.
Pawan Kumar Sharma, who escaped with the company’s money June 2, was arrested from the India Exposition Mart, police said.
His employer and company owner Madhukar Dubey lodged a complaint with the sector-58 police station.
“Police succeeded in nabbing the culprit and recovered Rs.31 lakh. The culprit told the police during interrogation that he spent the remaining money,” said Superintendent of Police Anant Deo.
